Since Cole is at school all day now and Cecily only has two half days of school a week, there is now some time for the two of us to work on learning at home. Cecily is a very eager learner so it makes it fun to work on skills with her! She is working on shapes, counting, colors, letters and letter sounds.

It is probably more text than you even need, but I wanted to show a few simple ideas. Skills in The Message included:
- Writing the number 1
- Initial Consonant Sounds
- Name recognition
- Beginning writing strokes and letter formation.
- Weather, observations
- Counting
- One to one correspondence
- Decision making
- Sight word recognition
I was impressed with how well Cecily did, it pays to be the younger child trying to play catch up.
