Getting Started at CVS

So if you want to start trying to get free or cheap toiletries for your household, this is a good week to start with! We get our shampoo, razors, toothbrushes, deodorant, body wash, soap, and shaving cream for free or nearly free. I recommend selecting just starting with one drug store. Rite Aid, Walgreens, and CVS are all good options. I choose CVS, because it is close to my house, super clean and friendly plus they had a Cozy Coupe shopping cart that comes in handy with the kids along! One way you could get started and make sure you are not spending a lot out of pocket is to get yourself a $20 gift card for the store or keep that amount in a specially marked envelope. The key here is to put a little money out at first and then begin rolling your money week to week or month to month. Sometimes you need to pay a little for taxes or the deal runs a few dollars. Make sure you go to the store prepared with your scenarios and coupons, plus take along your rewards card. When you enter the store, go right to the coupon machine and scan your card for any special extra deals.
Here is what I would do as a beginner this week. You could do it as separate transactions to put less out. I just usually do a larger transaction and roll more buck values week to week.

Oral B cross Action toothbrush
$6
Use $3 off P&G coupon
Pay $3 and get $3 Extra Care Buck back to use on a future order

Crest or Oral B Pro Health
toothpaste, floss, Scope Outlast
There are many coupons for this deal so you could potentially get this better than free.
Pay $3.29 or less and get $3.29 ECB to use on your next trip

Softsoap Body Wash
$2.99
Get $2.00 back

There is also a deal on Revitalens solution pay $5.99 get $5.99 ECB great if you have contacts.

So if you were to do this deal with the first three items, you would pay at most $9.28 plus tax out of pocket and woudl receive $8.29 back to use on a future order. You could even repeat the oral care deals twice if you had enough coupons.

If I get to the point where I have extra care bucks to use and no great deals in sight for weeks, we buy milk, infant medications or tissues. These are things we always use and CVS has good deals on these items.
