Would You Conisder Drug Testing Your Teen?

I had a conversation with a friend once about the fact that she was going to drug test her teen.  Her husband worked in law enforcement and felt strongly that drug testing teens was a good idea.  It may seem like an extreme measure especially when you suspect that your teenager is NOT using drugs. The point she made though stuck with me. This would be an easy out for her child.  Peer pressure is a lot to take as a teenager and this would give her child a valid reason to say no (beyond the usual concept of it is the right the thing to do).  It is pretty controversial, but would you consider it?  I have almost a decade before I have to make my decision and I am glad about that!

  1. In a recent survey, 70% of teens said they had a hard time fighting the peer pressure when asked to do drugs. Having a home drug test on the counter in your kitchen doesn't mean you have to use it. They can start working as soon as you bring one home. They can empower kids to say no. Their friends will see that they have a drug test at home.

Too many teens are starting to use drugs at home, stealing pills from the medicine cabinet. What used to be a sneaky sip from the liquor cabinet years ago has now morphed into a sneak of a pill from the medicine cabinet.

Teensavers Home Drug Test Kits can catch experimentation before it becomes addiction. It may be the best money you've ever spent and you may never have to open the box.

  2. I would do it in a heartbeat, my kids think I have eyes and ears in the back of my head, because I do my best to stay on top of their comings and goings, it is the only way I can keep them in line. Them knowing that I take matters seriously, is important to me, I care about their welfare and well-being. If they don't feel comfortable to openly talk to me, well then I'm going to have to find out somehow right? I like what "home drug test kit" said, that it starts working by just being out on the counter, putting an end to the "weed" (Figuratively speaking) before it takes over your garden is far better than the alternative.
