20 Mule Team Borax Review and Giveaway

When I was asked to review Borax through the Purex Insiders program, I jumped at the chance of trying something I had never tried before. Rich asked what it was and really I did not have an answer.  I knew it was something my mom used to use, but for what?  That is when I reached out to the Crumbs in the Couch Facebook fans who had high praises and many uses for Borax.  Between their recommendations, the information I was provided, and what I found on the internet I was ready to experiment with my Borax.
First off Borax is 100% natural.  It is a mineral from the earth that is washed, dried, and boxed with nothing added.  It is a natural softener of hard water, which exists in 85% of homes.  The 20 Mule Borax protects your detergent so that it is working at full strength. It also can remove stains so they will not settle back in.

Here is what I tried with the Borax:
  • Used it to help boost my laundry detergent.
  • Used a 1/2 cup to clean my toilets.
  •  Cleaned my garbage disposal.
  • Deodorized our trash can. 
  • Used it to help cleaner glassware in the dishwasher.
Other uses I want to try:
  • Homemade cleaner.
  • Fun slime to make with the kids.
  • Protect our homes from mice especially our farmhouse.  
This is a great product that is versatile as well as reasonable.  A little goes a long way!

    I use Borax in my laundry detergent. And am hoping to get some for my dish washer detergent as well.

    We go through Borax quickly. I wet pail my mama cloth in it, I add two TBSP to my load of cloth diapers, I clean the bathtub, toilet and sinks with it. I add a TBSP to my dish water to make my dishes sparkle. I love me some Borax!

    I use Borax for a multitude of things. I always put a generous amount in my laundry, I clean my bathrooms with it and it is a great all purpose cleaner!!

    I used to use only cloth diapers for my kids. Pampers were just too expensive back then. One of the ways I found to keep them bright white was with 20 Mule Team Borax.
    I also lived in Okla, where there is an issue with roaches. We would sprinkle some around the baseboards and it helped control those nasty pests.

    I use it as a laundry booster (only thing that gets red clay stains out) and bug repellent/killer. I used to have a bad bug problem until I started leaving a line in front of all the doors.
