DoubleTree Willow Valley Lancaster PA $50 Gift Certificate Giveaway


Over a year ago I read a wonderful review of the Doubletree Willow Valley in Lancaster.  The thing that stuck out the most to me was their super splash park.  While we are not quite ready for an indoor water park in terms of cost or age of children, we were ready to have more fun beyond what a standar hotel pool could provide.  I know that DoubleTree Hotels have a great reputation and provide quality accommodations as well as a freshly baked cookie at check in!.  This coupled with the variety of activities for families and ability to do a quick weekend trip made DoubleTree Lancaster a perfect getaway for our family of four.

We chose to do a king suite.  The suite gave Rich and myself a nice king bed and our own TV free of children's programming while the children had the pullout in the living room with their own TV.  We also selected the bed and breakfast package for less than $20 more.  This meant each day we were able to stay at the hotel for a wonderful buffet breakfast with an made for you omelet station.  The children enjoyed the yogurt parfaits with fresh fruit as well as the french toast sticks.
 
The hotel holds many events in their beautiful Palm Court.  My children enjoyed checking out the area in the day.  We were fortunate enough to have a room on the back side of the hotel.  This gave us a nice view of the beautifully maintained grounds and kept things quiet for our little ones to head to bed early.  The hotel includes a fully equipped fitness center as well as a full sized pool and hot tub. 
Rates for the hotel are very reasonable when price compared in the area.  I loved the fact that with the lay area, we spent less time outside of the hotel spending on activities and more time just relaxing while the children splashed about. They also offer kid's programs such as crafts (nominal fee) and  family movie events.

    As a child my family stayed at Willow Valley twice a year. Of course at that time it was only the old building with no fancy pool. We love it there! We even went there for our Honeymoon :) Olivia has been there once, this would be a great getaway since Jane has yet to see all that beautiful farm land:)

    We got married at the Double Tree Chapel, but we didn't have the time to check in in the hotel. We've seen the exterior part of the hotel and it looks nice, the view, the garden, the restaurant, we've also took a peak at the interior where the reservation lobby was located and it's nicer! We need a vacation and Double Tree is the nearest and hassle free get away trip we know it's perfect for us...
