Vacations, not what they used to be?

When you think of vacation, what do you picture? Sitting on the beach reading a book, out to dinner, sleeping in. That's what I picture, but a vacation with kids and little ones at that does not even equal close to that. Messed up sleep schedules means mommy up at 5:00 in the morning with one and up later with the other one. New fun and exciting people means a little one who does not think she needs a nap and communicates through blood cuddling screeches. Sound fun? Actually it was fun, but so exhausting. Thank God we had grandparents to help out or I may not have survived the vacation!

We had a great time boating on Harvey's Lake, celebrating Cole's fourth birthday, watching Cole swim from one dock to another, visiting with family, having a camp out, and just spending time with family. We are back and my house somehow shrunk and got filled with tons of stuff while I was gone or so it seems that way! Now on to more fun with Vacation Bible School this week. Hoping Cecily catches up on sleep so the nursery workers are greeted with a pleasant little girl!
