Jumpstart.com Review and Giveaway

I do not know if you are like me, but the thought of adding even one more toy to this house for the holidays is overwhelming.  What I want the kids to receive from the relatives, things that do not take up any more space in our little home.  This where I see asking for a subscription to Jumpstart.com as a great option.
Some of Jumpstart's best features:
  • Jumpstart.com can go with you anywhere there is a computer with internet.  Use it on your home computer or simply sign in while at grandma's house.
  • Jumpstart.com is changing and enhancing it's content regularly.  It is not like purchasing a video game that your child will tire of.
  • Jumpstart.com allows up to 6 children to be added to one account.
  • Jumpstart.com offers various memberships one of which is for a lifetime.
  • There is an excellent balance of educational content and just for fun games.
  • Jumpstart.com offers lesson plans and educational worksheets in various subject areas.
Here is Cole sneaking in five minutes of Jumpstart.com before school.

Cole was thrilled to spend his time hurricane days off from school playing on Jumpstart.com.  Now that he is in Kindergarten, he has a larger area with in Jumpstart that he can explore with success.  He was able to investigate the many lands with little assistance from an adult.  I actually had to stop him from playing after two straight engaged hours.  His favorite areas are Marineland and Mathblaster.  These lands can be easily found by using the map in the bottom left hand corner of the screen, which gives you a list of all areas to which a player can be instantly transported. Cole says he enjoys escaping from the Punk Punks in his bubble.  If you play the games, maybe that would not seem like a secret code language.  Cole also likes to play around with his character and changes his appearance though the blue hair is a pretty much a constant.

The newest area is a Madagascar section, where children can see all of their favorite characters from the movies as well as engage in games and activities. Cole said he liked the zoo themed area.  It is fun to go into the zoo nursery where you can adopt a zoo baby to raise.  We are big animal fans around here so the addition of the Madagascar zoo area was a big hit.
